The ATP Finals, also known as the Nitto ATP Finals, is an annual men’s tennis tournament held in London, England. It is the season-ending tournament for the top eight players in the world and is considered to be the unofficial fifth Grand Slam.
First held in 1970, and was originally known as the Masters Grand Prix Finals. The tournament was renamed the ATP Finals in 2000. The tournament is played on indoor hard courts, and is a round-robin format, with each player playing three round-robin matches. The top two players in each group advance to the semifinals, and the winners of the semifinals meet in the final.
